To participate you must meet some criteria:
If you meet these criteria, we are looking forward to meeting you!
By installing GfK’s Digital Trends software and by being active for 30 days you will receive a £10 e-voucher! What’s considered as active? Active means you need to have the app successfully installed, open and running in the background of your device when you're browsing the web (this isn't to be confused with 30 days since the software was installed!).
Still not enough? Why not install the Digital Trends App on your Tablet and/or PC for an extra £10 per device?
On-top of this, for each type of device you'll receive a £5 loyalty incentive every three months if you're active for at least one day each consecutive month.
As a GfK Digital Trends Programme participant, you give us feedback on the websites you visit, advertisements you see online and how you navigate through the net. Your browsing behaviour is representative of the Internet usage of your generation! With this knowledge GfK helps companies improve their online services for you - websites become more user-friendly and offer the information you need.
You may terminate your participation at any time, for any reason and without a notice. Just write an email to us to let us know.
Redeeming is easily done from your computer. Simply go to the following website: redeem.ovationincentives.com/Redeem.aspx
If you are having trouble redeeming you code on the link provided it may be that your browser has blocked the pop-up redemption window. Please ensure that you allow pop-ups from this address, or as an alternative please try clicking on the link below, or alternatively, copy and paste this link in your browser:
Next, enter your reward code in the field labelled Voucher Code and click on “Go”.
To avoid any errors, we would suggest the best way to copy your code into the redemption box is by holding down 'ctrl and c' on your keyboard at the same time to copy and 'ctrl and v' to paste.
Once the first code is accepted you can add your remaining code(s) by entering them into the box labelled "Add Voucher Code" and clicking on "Go" after each code.
You can click on the tab labelled "All" on the left side of the redemption window to see all available options you can redeem your code for. These are e-vouchers which will be emailed to you.
Please choose the reward option you like by clicking on the retailer logo, then select the quantity of vouchers you want and add them to your basket by clicking on the "Add to Basket" button at the bottom of the page.
Then you will be able to proceed to the checkout by clicking the "Proceed to Check Out" button.
Please note your order will only be confirmed once you have entered your details, clicked "Confirm" and an order reference number appears on your screen.
We will email you your e-vouchers (usually delivered within 48 hours if in current stock).
Members of GfK's Digital Trends Programme have the opportunity to partake in some fantastic innovative research studies.
Once a study has closed incentives are sent via email to the email address used upon registration. Unfortunately rewards are not yet sent directly after completion, but this is something we're working on!
The software works at the background and registers which sites are visited and their usage. In order to do so, the browser is modified by an Add-On. This add-on is activated each time you open your browser.
For PC or Laptop our software is compatible with Windows 7 and higher. Unfortunately our software is not yet compatible with Apple Mac’s – but this is something we’re working on!
Downloading the software is easy!
Important: Before you install the GfK's Digital Trends software please close all web browsers.
No. The software works like a silent observer in the background. Neither the performance of your device nor the internet speed will be affected.
There's nothing else you need to do once the software has installed successfully to your PC or Laptop!
Please remember to select which user is using the browser when prompted by the pop-up window. Avoiding the prompt may cause delays in qualifying for your incentives.
You can find instructions on how to uninstall and remove the software from your PC or Laptop below:
When uninstalling and removing the software from your PC or Laptop, please make sure all instant message applications (such as Skype and Windows Messenger) are closed.
If you do not have any instant messenger applications installed and use Google Chrome as your main browser:
GfK’s Digital Trends app is a research app that works in the background of your mobile device i.e your smartphone or tablet. It records the usage of your device and the internet for research purposes. Your privacy and security are of the utmost importance to us such that we will not record i.e. keystrokes or contents of messages you'll send. The app will not affect your devices' performance.
For Smartphone and Tablet our software runs on iOS7 or higher and Android Version 2.3 or higher. Unfortunately our app is not yet compatible with Windows phones – but this is something we’re working on!
If you do not have a Smartphone you will be unable to install the app to your regular mobile phone.
Downloading the app is easy!
TIP: If you want to earn additional incentives, you can install on both devices!
In order for an activation code to be generated you will need to request one from your portal. This will register your device to our database and generate a unique activation code. Once you have received the activation code please enter it when prompted to activate your app.
Yes - it is possible to use the same activation code for each device. If you need to find out what your activation code is for device activation:
Your activation code will be displayed on screen and also send to you via your chosen method (SMS or email).
There's nothing else you need to do once the app has installed successfully to your chosen device(s)!
Remember! For Smartphone and Tablet - do not close the software on your device(s) as this will disconnect the software completely which may cause delays in qualifying for your incentives. The app must be running in the background when you are browsing!
Users receive this notification when the app is closed on their device. In order for the app to work properly it needs to be left open and running in the background whilst browsing.
To stop the notification from appearing please open the app and keep it running. If the app is closed you will not qualify for your incentives.
If you uninstall and reinstall the app you will be generated with a new device ID. This means all subsequent days activity previously sent will not be counted.
Remember to keep the app installed and browse the web whilst the app is open, this will ensure you qualify for incentives!
If you have not yet activated the app, you will be asked to enter the activation code to activate the app. Errors occurring during the activation will be displayed as an information dialog.
